Most of my projects involve weathering, the process of adding details of damage, wear and contamination. I love this process as it requires me to think of how the piece I work on would exist in its fictional world. However, weathering also gives model makers a chance to hide any mistakes they may have made previously in the build. I do not want to rely on weathering to hide any mistakes I may make.
This is why I chose to make a model that would have zero weathering involved, as if it was new. This would mean that any rough areas would stand out. I chose a Storm Trooper Helmet as its colour would show any bumps or irregularities. It also has a complex shape.
